At Haas Hall Academy Rogers, Academics combine the rigor of a college-preparatory education with the individualized attention possible in a small-school environment. Scholars in grades 7–12 are challenged to think critically, become increasingly independent learners, and take responsibility for their academic success while benefiting from close relationships with teachers who know them personally.
With approximately 109 scholars and a 9:1 student-teacher ratio, the Rogers campus creates an environment where high expectations are supported by meaningful faculty relationships. Students receive the challenge they need to grow alongside the guidance and encouragement they need to succeed.
An Extensive College-Preparatory Curriculum
Small school size does not mean limited academic opportunity. Haas Hall Academy Rogers Academics include 83 courses, giving scholars access to a broad curriculum designed to support different academic strengths, interests, and college aspirations.
Students develop a strong foundation across core academic disciplines while having opportunities to pursue advanced subjects and electives. Individualized Academic Planning
Every scholar’s path is different. At Haas Hall Academy Rogers, our Academic Advisor partners with students and families to develop an individualized academic plan based on each scholar’s abilities, progress, interests, and future goals.
Through Student Success Plan (SSP) meetings and four-year academic planning, scholars receive guidance with course selection, Advanced Placement opportunities, graduation requirements, standardized testing, and college preparation. These plans evolve throughout a student’s time at Haas Hall, creating a clear roadmap while allowing for changing interests and aspirations.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
Academics at Rogers extend beyond textbooks, lectures, and traditional assignments. Faculty intentionally connect classroom concepts to meaningful experiences that help scholars understand how their learning applies to the world around them.
Students participate in field experiences, project-based learning, community service, academic competitions, HOSA and DECA events, leadership opportunities, and outdoor experiences such as hiking. These activities allow scholars to collaborate, solve problems, apply knowledge, and develop skills that cannot always be measured by a traditional test.
Academic Clubs & Competitions
Scholars who want to explore academic subjects more deeply can also participate in extracurricular programs that complement classroom learning.
Opportunities include Junior and Senior High Quiz Bowl, Junior and Senior High Science Bowl, Mu Alpha Theta, Computer Science and Programming, Psychology, HOSA, DECA, Speech and Debate, Journalism, Spanish, and environmental organizations.
Our smaller campus provides an additional advantage: scholars can participate in several different activities rather than feeling limited to a single interest. A student can pursue science or mathematics while also exploring leadership, the arts, athletics, or community service.
Academic Support When Scholars Need It
Rigorous expectations are paired with personal support. Because of the Rogers campus’s small size, teachers are able to know scholars well and recognize when additional assistance may be beneficial.
Faculty are available before and after school for academic support, and scholars may remain after school for tutoring and teacher assistance. Families also have access to academic advising, school counselor support, parent conferences, and Student Success Plan meetings.
This partnership among scholars, faculty, advisors, and families helps students address challenges while developing greater independence and accountability.
